Sixed up

I can’t do much more than agree with Jurian. We had a fun afternoon, however short it was. We had about 30 minutes together to get some shots, and were lucky enough to spot this guy in a nearby park. We both agreed upon posting shots of this joint session, and after seeing Jurian’s post I believe there’s no need for doubts, our shots are quite different.

I like the way all the balls are in the air, like he is doing some magic trick. Also the way the balls provide depth in your shot is great. And you right about the difference compared to Jurian.

Love the symmetry of the balls in the air and the composition of it all.

The angle does it for me. Great job.

have you tried making him into a silhouette and honing on the details of the clouds? Right now they are blown out, also is the original color?

Thanks Gabriel! I take all my photos in color because I don’t like the default B/W mode of my D200. I rather use the channel mixer in photoshop to get to B/W. (Or Grayscale in Lightroom if I’m lazy). The silhouette idea also came to my mind, perhaps I should simply accept the fact that I need to push the image a bit more. Will have a look at it tonight!

Very nice contrast between light and dark, just the right amount of both. I like the angle as well. The floating balls lead your eye into and around the image nicely.
