Blue Friday

I took this shot two weeks back when visiting the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt am Main. Although the exposed art was brought down to a minimum at the time that I visited I must say that I was very impressed with the modern sterility of the complex, which dates back to 1991. This photo was taken from one of the balconies overlooking the main room of the museum at the moment these people entered.

Very abstract, like the lines of the stairs and the ground. Also the effect they walk into the white areas of the photo makes the composition great.

Agree, like the composition. Also like the juxtaposition of blue and white.

Did you colorize their shirts? They look manipulated. I like the simplicity of this shot and the fact that you were able to think creatively from such a perspective. Looking up and down, and all around is important in grabbing unique photos. The baldness is great too, it has a special, unique quality and you couldn’t have planned it better.

Thanks Chris. No, they were both wearing those blue shirts. As you understand I did process this photo, as my camera was fooled by the large amount of white. I overexposed it 2 stops on my camera, and then set the WB and Levels in Lightroom.
