Le Treport

Le Treport

I passed through Le Treport on my way to Dieppe, a city in Normandy in northern France. Although laying underneath an enormous cliff the city appeared quite normal to me at the time, without any extraordinary features. However, it could have been the dreary weather that didn’t show the city in its full potential.

Nice picture Fokke! I think the weather fits the city very well. I have never been there, but this looks like a place that has not been built there with beach bums in mind.

I think this is a nice cityscape or a travel photo, and it is a beautiful shot don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t consider it a urban landscape. It is too clean and polished – too much in the capture. Now if you got down into some of those streets down there and took closer shots of some of the views, then that would be a gritty, distressed, dirty, real-life, true, urban landscape.

Nice work Fokke. After Andrei and I posted clean, colorful, overview shots of barcelona, you come with a gray, sad, almost abandoned city. I like it!
