New growth?

2010 © by Chris

New Growth?Unfortunately, this is an example of what downtown Minneapolis has turned into over the past few years due to the housing/loft/condo boom in many urban areas throughout the city. There are far too many units/buildings available and not a lot of demand, so these buildings remain barely filled. This new architecture is sprinkled throughout the city and either encroach on, as seen here or have taken over space once occupied by old, some times historic buildings. Block after block, our streets are lined with these new structures that have helped create an entirely new downtown skyline.

It surely made for an interesting contrast. I love to see where other people live and spend their days. To be honest I’m quite jealous, wished I would live in the US once again.
